Dark Horse Veterinary Services, LLC is an ambulatory equine veterinary practice based out of Northeast Ohio. Founded by two doctors with a singular mission to provide truly exceptional veterinary care that emphasizes prevention of illness and injury through education and wellness. When an equine companion does become ill or injured the doctors of Dark Horse Veterinary Services are available night and day to provide treatment that you can feel confident is done competently and compassionately.

DR. NOREEN NEARY

Dr. Neary obtained her Bachelor degree in Equine Science from Otterbein College. While at Otterbein, Dr. Neary knew she wanted to practice veterinary medicine. She worked on a Masters in equine reproduction from The Ohio State University while finishing requirements for veterinary school. In 1996, Dr. Neary became a graduate of The Ohio State School Of Veterinary Medicine. That same year she began an internship at the Equine Specialty Hospital, which brought her to Northeast Ohio. Dr. Neary has been practicing veterinary medicine in and around Geauga County for the entirety of her career. She has become well known for her commitment and passion of equine reproduction and foal medicine.

Dr. Neary has several sweet dogs that she and her long time partner Mark love and enjoy. In her free time she enjoys gardening, walking her dogs and antiques. She has lived in Burton for 19 years and loves the Northeast Ohio community and practicing veterinary medicine.

DR. AVERI SAUDER

Dr. Sauder obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from the University of Wisconsin Madison. In 2012, Dr. Sauder became a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Madison-School of Veterinary Medicine. Over the past several years Dr. Sauder has expounded upon her medical and surgical skill sets as well as developed a love for equine dentistry, equine nutrition and care of the geriatric equine companion. Dr. Sauder enjoys public speaking and believes it is the responsibility of the veterinarian to educate horse owners on matters related to equine health. Dr. Sauder is originally from Oconomowoc, Wisconsin and is a fan of the Wisconsin Badgers and Green Bay Packers, but admits that Cleveland sports are growing on her. She has three loving dogs and a 30+ year old horse named Handsome. She enjoys trail riding, golfing, kayaking, traveling and professional development opportunities.
